Description

Primarily a residential community, comprised of single-family dwellings, with several low-rise condominium buildings. Redington Beach is bordered on the north by the town of North Redington Beach and on the south by the city of Madeira Beach. It is bounded on the east by Boca Ciega Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway and on the west by the Gulf of Mexico.

History

Redington Beach is a unique residential community nestled along the Barrier Islands of Pinellas County, Florida. Established in 1944 and Incorporated in 1945, the Town of Redington Beach has approximately 1,017 households with a total population of about 1,463 people.

Yard Sales: The residents of the Town hold two annual yard sales – one in the Fall and the other in the Spring. Check with Town Hall for annual dates.

Beach Parking Passes: Parking at Beach Park is restricted to Redington Beach Residents only. Free Beach Parking Passes for Town residents are available at Town Hall. Click HERE to view the map of  restricted parking areas in the Town.

Trash Collection: The Town has a contract with Waste Connections, Inc. that affords weekly residential trash collection. Residents must establish an account directly with the company for trash removal.  Trash pickup days are Tuesdays and Fridays.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection: Household Chemical Collection Events are convenient ways to safely dispose and recycle chemicals, such as paint, fluorescent bulbs, and fertilizer. These events and collection sites are FREE to Pinellas County residents. Staff will remove items from your vehicle. Click here to view the schedule of mobile collection locations.

Gulf Beaches Library: The local library is Located at 200 Municipal Drive in the adjacent Town of Madeira Beach directly across from the Winn Dixie store. The telephone number for the library is: (727) 391-2828. This is a full-service branch of the Pinellas County Library System. In addition to books, the library offers videos, cassettes, children’s story-time, various clubs, special interest events and Internet access.
