
Mayor Simons is a local businessman who grew up in Redington Beach. Simons served on the commission from 1990-1996 and was appointed to the commission in 1997 by the governor when a series of resignations left the Redington Beach Commission without a quorum. Simons is also chairperson of the Gulf Beaches Public Library and the Redington Beach-Indian Shores Holiday Boat Parade Committee. He was the President of the Redington Beach Property Owners Association.
Originally from Chicago, he has lived in Redington Beach since 1993. He holds a BA in economics and a master's degree in marketing and finance from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. Currently retired, he worked in advertising, sales promotion, industrial theater and computer graphics. He was elected to the commission in 1996 and was appointed mayor when the incumbent resigned in 1997. He has also served on the town's finance committee, was vice chairman of the Planning Board, serves on the executive board of Santa's Angels, and is a past president of the Redington Beach Property Owners Association.
Born in Somerville, New Jersey, Michele has been a resident of Redington Beach since 2004. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Management from Northwood University, an Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Culinary Arts from Schoolcraft College, and an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts specializing in French from Oakland Community College. She has served on the Education Board for Junior League, 6 years as a Big Sister in Big Brothers/Sisters program and has taught culinary classes at Academy Prep in St. Pete. In Michele's business career, she has spent 6 years in sales in the plastics industry. Also, she has spent 5 years in Corporate Travel as a corporate travel consultant. She is married and has 2 dogs.
David Drillick has lived in Redington Beach since 2004, having moved from New Jersey. He previously served for ten years as president of a condominium board in Hillsdale, New Jersey and was a member of the Redington Beach Finance Committee and is a member of the Redington Beach Property Owners’ Association.
Originally from New Jersey, he has lived in Redington Beach since 1999. He also made the Town his home from 1990-1993. He previously served as an elected town meeting member in Plymouth, Mass. He served two terms on the Redington Beach Board of Adjustments and is a ready volunteer for the Redington Beach Property Owners Assn. He is a realtor, is active with the Madeira Beach Elementary and Middle Schools’ Advisory Councils, and serves as a soccer and little league coach for the Madeira Beach Recreation Department.
